Having to find a new tax preparer this year I found Darcy and JMU online. Reviews from others had a lot of good things to say about her so I took the chance. Sincerely, I was not disappointed. Darcy was very professional and polite from the beginning and, being a self-employed Real Estate agent, she showed me ways to save a LOT of money that my last accountant did not see or ever suggest. I went from owing a fair amount to getting back 3 times as much on my 2019 taxes after taking her suggestions. She offered great business advice and I highly recommend her.

I usually file my own taxes. But this year, I had a number of significant life events that made filing my own taxes much more complicated than usual. I sought the professional services of Darcy Farley at JMU Tax and Financial. Darcy was a consummate professional. Not only is she thorough, she also works with a sense of urgency. She took all of my documentation and turned around my filing within one business day. In doing so, Darcy also found every possible deduction I was eligible for. In addition to taxes, Darcy also provides excellent business advice. She has earned me as a client for life. If I could give her 10 stars for this review, I would! Call her and make an appointment. You won't regret it!

Our experience with Darcy Farley was beyond our expectations in using a tax professional. I have been successful completing our Federal and Virginia tax returns for 20 years. 2021 brought a complicated element to this year's effort. We used Darcy this year after being referred from another business owner. We usually do our own taxes but we purchased a short term rental home this year and so it was getting too complicated. We also own another business and had her do both the personal and business taxes. She also gave us some solid wealth building strategies. She explained retirement savings and health insurance from the business perspective. She made changes to the way the business pays the owners that will save us money next year. We've been spending thousands every year on a fancy firm in a fancy building, and they never gave us any advice like this. I look forward to working with her next year!
